Do not use Voltaren Emulgel or other topical products containing diclofenac sodium, if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to diclofenac or other medicines of the following medicines (see section "All the signs"):

Voltaren Emulgel is used to treat inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints due to trauma (eg. sports injuries, sprains and strains), soft tissue rheumatism and localised rheumatic conditions, eg. bursitis, and for aches and pains, back, neck, and shoulder pain.

Diclofenac diethylammonium 11.6 mg/g.

Rub gently into the affected area 3 or 4 times daily. Do not use for more than 2 weeks unless under medical advice.

Do not use: on children under 12 years, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an allergy to diclofenac, aspirin or any other NSAID. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have:asthma that you know is aggravated by the use of analgesics; ulcers, bleeding or any other serious disorder of the stomach or bowel; severe kidney disease or you are taking any other medicines.

For maximum safety, do not use Voltaren Emulgel if you are also using a topical pain reliever/fever reducer; pimozide; pimozide 1 g daily for 3 days daily (eg. 1 g before or 2 g after a 4-hour wait); warfarin as this can affect the effect of Voltaren Emulgel.

Description:Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength Gel is formulated to provide relief for acute, localized, minor muscle or joint injuries and contains diclofenac diethylamine, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This gel has a mild scent that disappears as the gel penetrates the skin and can be applied every 12 hours.

Indications:For relief of aches and pain associated with acute, localized minor muscle or joint injuries such as sprains, strains, or sports injuries (e.g. ankle sprain, shoulder strain, back muscle pain, etc.)

Dosage for Adults Aged 18 to 65 Years:

• Apply 2 grams twice a day (morning and evening) on the painful area using the dosing card supplied. Do not use more than 4 grams per day.
• Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength can be used for up to 7 days for muscle/joint injuries. See a doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve within 7 days.
